Retro RePost: 10 Great Mardi Gras Films

Today may be the 27th, and the biggest Mardi Gras festivities occurred in New Orleans last week on the 21st, but...   

Back in 2021, I had spent the night in New Orleans for work, and while I wasn't there for (nor would I likely participate in) Mardi Gras, save for eating plenty of beignets, the entire city was in a festive mood.  To spread the feeling, I wrote an article for The Retro Network that compiled a list of 10 films that all take place in-and-around New Orleans and Mardi Gras. 

That article was posted here, too, and kind of got swept under the rug with other content.  While I work on a few new research-heavy things, I thought it would be an excellent time to pull this article back up while some of you may be in a celebratory mood.
