Being a teenager in the mid to late 90s, it was hard to avoid professional wrestling. Actually, it was hard to avoid wrestling at any age during that time period. I had already been following wrestling for several years at that point, but it was fun to see my friends finally come around on something I had loved for years.
During the summers of 1996, 97, 98, and maybe even 1999, professional wrestling was at the peak of popularity it will never again attain. During those summers, I was between the ages of 12 to 15, and like many others, I was totally enthralled with the world of wrestling.
Earlier this summer, I wrote a piece on WCW's Summer at Walt Disney World and how that particular summer in 1996 helped change the wrestling business forever. That was fun to relive, so I immediately thought of this old post.
On this Friday RePost, please take a peek at an old post from two years ago where I reflect on some of my Favorite Memories of Summertime Wrestling.
