During the Christmas season, I like to post more than just the standard Monday article. So, I post a new article each Monday and Friday, and on Wednesdays, I enjoy bringing an older article to your attention that may have been missed or forgotten.
This week's "oldie-but-goodie" is undoubtedly an oldie, in terms of this site, anyway. In 2019, I wrote an article about one of my favorite television shows, I Love Lucy, and how they celebrated Christmas in 1956.
Back in the mid 2010's, it became a tradition on CBS to "colorize" an episode of I Love Lucy as part of their Christmas special's package, starting with the I Love Lucy Christmas special. In 2020, the network abandoned the practice of colorizing episodes, and if I remember right, they haven't aired the Lucy Christmas episode since.
You can find it on Paramount Plus if you're so inclined!
