Classic Christmas cartoons are always fun, no matter your age. I don't care who you are; there is just something enjoyable about older animated shows that remind us of the Christmases of our youth.
Five years ago, I wrote a brief article titled "My Top 5 Christmas Cartoons."
In preparation for the Christmas season, I thought I'd post this article again as a way to wet your whistle for some upcoming Christmas coverage here at YesterYear.
By the way, since I don't know when I'll get the chance, if you ever wonder where the "wet your whistle" saying and several other phrases come from, please CLICK HERE for the article where I go over the history of 20 common sayings.
So, once you're done educating yourself about some common phrases we use all the time, come back and CLICK HERE to check out my Top 5 Christmas Cartoon favorites!

Jeff. I tried clicking the 20 sayings article, but it kept opening this article in a new tab/window. So I kept going until I had 20 tabs/windows open (one for each saying), but could you fix the like to the 20 saying article?
ReplyDeleteI know I could probably find it by searching… but I’m lazy. Thanks! =P
Thanks for letting me know! It should be fixed, but if not, click (or cut and paste) this: https://www.yesteryearretro.com/2022/04/the-history-behind-20-common-phrases.html
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeff! I honestly didn’t know the origins of any of the 20 phrases (there were also a couple I had never heard before), so I learned a lot today.
ReplyDeleteActually, I take it back. I knew the horse one. That’s it, though.
ReplyDeleteI aim to please! :) I really liked that article, and if I can come up with another twenty phrases, I'll do a part two. Thanks again so much for reading every week!
