The WPIX Yule Log

It's Christmas Eve, and I hope you're having a happy, healthy holiday with friends and family.  Wherever you are, alone or together, may it be a Merry Christmas!

Instead of an article today, I just wanted to post the link to four hours of the famed WPIX (Channel 11 in New York) Yule Log for you to enjoy.

Merry Christmas!

  1. Merry Christmas Jeff.

  2. Merry Christmas friend! You've never said... what's your name? If you prefer to remain "Anonymous," that's cool too. Either way, as they say from your neck of the ocean, Mele Kalikimaka!

  3. Merry Christmas, Jeff.

But that wasn’t me (the postcard/Hawaii guy). That was some other “anonymous” fan of your site. Unless… I popped on really quick on Christmas to say “Merry Christmas” to you and then completely forgot about it? Honestly, that’s actually possible.

I think I’ll sign up for an account here. When I first posted here I thought it would be a one-time thing to thank you for how helpful your postcard article was for my family’s cross-country trip. But since I do keep coming back now, I guess it would make sense to try to set up an account instead of posting anonymously every time. I’m lazy, though.

  4. Also… 4 hours of a log burning with Christmas music in the background? I honestly didn’t know that was a holiday tradition for some tv stations.

  5. Yes, it's been a tradition for decades (in the NY area, anyway.) We always had it on Christmas morning as we opened presents. Hallmark Channel does one as well, and now there is thousands of different YouTube videos, each with their own musical selection to suit your tastes! We tried a few different ones this year until we found one with music we all agreed to.
